Our New Zealand Radiata Pine timber is milled entirely from renewable plantations and complies with all New Zealand environmental management policies. Kiwi Lumber’s two Appearance Grade mills (Putaruru & Dannevirke) are also FSC certified. Our production is wholesaled throughout New Zealand as well as a range of export markets that include North America, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Pacific Islands.

All Kiwi Lumber sawmills are maintained to the highest possible standards, and through the use of modern technology we are able to ensure excellent cutting accuracy and efficiency of production. Kiwi Lumber Dannevirke and Kiwi Lumber Putaruru are both dedicated to cutting pruned logs. These pruned log sawmills are designed for maximising grade recovery of high grade Clear lumber.

Kiwi Lumber Masterton is a structural mill focussed on producing framing timber primarily for domestic construction. These products are mechanically stress graded to ensure compliance with the relevant New Zealand Standards. Kiwi Lumber also uses a third part auditing body to oversee our Quality Assurance testing and procedures.

Our structural mill also produces a wider range of treated products for outdoor and landscaping purposes and also as industrial grades for pallet manufacturing.

All three sawmills operate Windsor Kilns which are computer controlled using the Dryspec system and operated by qualified kiln operators. Kiwi Lumber sawmills also employ environmentally friendly energy recycling systems that minimise impact to the environment by utilising sawmill residues to heat our kilns.

Kiwi Lumber runs various Weinig planners/moulders at all three sites along with cut to length optimisers. This gives Kiwi Lumber the ability produce a range of products that includes S4S boards, profiled decking, customer specific precision profiles and cut to length components. Kiwi Lumber also has the ability to supply various treated options that include CCA, LOSP and ACQ.
